3rd year STI College life and starting from here

JOURNEY STI COLLEGE GROWTH

This is a record of where I have been, where I stand right now as a 3rd-year BSIT student at STI College, and where I am heading next.

Being in my 3rd year of BSIT is not just about attending lectures and submitting lab assignments on time. My everyday routine is a constant juggle between college classes, helping manage shifts at our family store, and using whatever quiet hours remain late at night to write code, build projects, and fix broken systems.

I spend countless days rushing home after class to handle store inventory, then staying up late at my desk with a terminal open, debugging server configs and learning things by reading error logs on my own. It gets demanding and often exhausting, but it teaches me self-reliance faster than any textbook can.

Focusing on my own progress feels strange. To someone looking from the outside, maybe this all seems like small details or nonsense. But writing it down helps me acknowledge the work it takes to keep pushing through.

What comes next

I might end up building a quiet, modest life. I might end up making millions. Either way, I can laugh at the uncertainty because the outcome does not change what I have to do today. I keep working.

Making it this far into 3rd year while balancing real-world responsibilities is already a win. When you are right in the middle of capstone prep, exams, store errands, and code deadlines, it is easy to forget how much ground you have covered. I owe a lot to the past version of myself for refusing to quit when the work piled up, for staying curious, and for pushing through the fatigue.

I do not know every step ahead, but I know what keeps me moving: showing up, doing the work, and continuing to build anyway.

It is okay to rest, but it is not okay to quit.
