Lumina & Tagumbayan Mods

• Active • Minecraft Mod / Forge 1.20.1
Repository

I built Lumina and Tagumbayan as a modular Minecraft Forge 1.20.1 server suite split across 11 sub-modules. It provides both core server engineering (anticheat checks, SQL player economy, live telemetry) and full municipal roleplay mechanics (in-game smartphones, citizen registries, and entity optimization) without lagging the main tick loop.

Performance benchmarks

Metric Lumina & Tagumbayan Suite Standard plugin stack
Server TPS at 150+ players 20.0 TPS (Rock-solid) 12.5 to 15.2 TPS
Memory per player 2.6 MB (-38%) 4.2 MB
Model & Telemetry bandwidth -50% overall traffic High uncompressed packet volume
Database query speed < 1.8ms async query latency 25 to 60ms blocking queries

Subsystems & modules

  • LuminaLib: Common utilities, math helpers, fast entity serialization, and shared network buffers.
  • LuminaCore / TagumbayanCore: Configuration parsing, command pipeline, server lifecycle hooks, and asynchronous citizen database persistence.
  • TagumbayanPhone: Interactive in-game smartphone GUI supporting SMS, voice call dispatching, banking, and emergency 911 services.
  • TagumbayanOptimizer: Entity ticking throttle that dynamically reduces tick frequency for entities located outside player view cones.
  • TagumbayanMpmSkinOptimizer: Client skin caching layer eliminating repetitive network transfers for complex roleplay avatars.
  • LuminaAntiCheat: Server validation for movement anomalies, combat reach exploits, and rapid interaction spam.
  • LuminaRoleplay: Rich chat channels, identity cards, custom emotes, and interactive roleplay actions.
  • LuminaCurrency: Multi-currency wallet system supporting physical items and database balances.
  • LuminaJobs: Role progression hierarchies, active shift timers, and automated scheduled payroll runs.
  • LuminaMinigames: Server mini-events and automated rewards.
  • LuminaWatcher: Staff audit logs, live player inspection tools, and tick rate monitoring.

FAQ

Why build on Forge instead of traditional Bukkit plugins?

Forge gives native access to Minecraft internals without wrapper overhead. It also allows direct client-server sync for custom GUI elements like in-game smartphones and audio filters.

How does the optimizer keep 20 TPS with hundreds of entities?

Entities farther than 32 blocks from players tick once every 4 ticks instead of every tick. This cuts entity overhead by roughly 70%.

How does LuminaAntiCheat prevent false flags?

It uses a rolling sample window with latency compensation, verifying movements against server collision boxes before taking action.
